Designed for media professionals involved in the creation, management and distribution of content across broadcast and digital mediums, NAB Show Shanghai aimd to serve as “an integrated platform for innovation and allows attendees to share global perspectives while learning tactical and successful business strategies,” according to the association.

  • Global Cable Operator Conference — Co-produced with the Broadcasting Intelligence Terminal Industry Alliance, this conference was designed for all segments of the cable industry. Topics included how to adopt new business strategies, such as virtual reality (VR) and OTT, among others.

Four conference tracks, held Dec. 7-8, explored the topics of VR and augmented reality (AR), 4K/ultra-high-definition, social media and OTT. A listing of the confirmed speakers was available here. Also, the China Post | Production Conference, produced in partnership with Future Media Concepts, was held December 6-8. The three-day program was designed for production and post professionals and included robust training workshops that maximize creativity and efficiency with particular tools and software.

Additionally, companies from around the world showcased their latest technologies and business solutions on the new exhibit floor Dec. 7-9. Broadcast equipment manufacturers, VR/AR developers, smart software and hardware manufacturers and suppliers in the OTT sector demonstrated their new products, strengthen relationships with existing customers and seek new business opportunities in Asia.
