Visual Effects Supervisor “Hacksaw Ridge”
Oscar-winning Visual Effects Supervisor Chris Godfrey has worked on feature films for the past 21 years. His roles include quoting, technique development, R&D development, previsualization development, preproduction, supervising on set, plate shoots, second unit directing, post vis supervision and final posting. He is also heavily involved in pre-production budget optimization to help maximize impact for a shrinking production dollar. According to Chris “my first priority is to see the director’s vision correctly reflected at the shoot, in the notes and concepts, and in the completed work.” He also works to ensure that VFX is flexible during production and is sympathetic to the actor’s space. Prior to his work in VFX, Chris was a lead animator and a lead compositor.
